Our objective is to help grow and strengthen art education in the Canadian Prairies and build a stronger presence for the visual arts in the region. The inaugural Prairie Art Institute took place in Regina, SK from June 15 to 17, 2023 and was funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, The Gail and Stephen A. Jarislowsky Institute for Studies in Canadian Art, the University of Alberta, the University of Lethbridge, and the University of Regina.
